Stud welding guide
Stud welding joins studs and pins directly to metal without drilling. Capacitor discharge (CD) welding is used for thin sheets and smaller fasteners. Drawn arc welding provides deeper penetration and is used for larger studs.
Applications include insulation fixings on ships and offshore installations, ventilation systems, electrical cabinets, vehicles and steel structures. Tell us the base material, sheet thickness, stud diameter and weld quantity when you contact us.
